Research on the Dutch residential and commercial construction industry

Round Table Meeting in Amsterdam.

Commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Interior Affairs the Economic Institute for Construction and Housing (EIB) is investigating the critical success factors to increase client orientation and user emphasis in the Dutch residential and commercial construction industry.

Several European countries have been visited to interview experts and to get to know best practices from abroad. The interviews resulted in a list of six themes that are promising for implementation in the Netherlands.

A round table meeting in Amsterdam, on 23rd of October 2013, Christoph Kohl participated in, was the follow up of the interview sessions. Experts from different European countries discussed the six most promising themes such as „Standardization and Industrialization in Construction“ or „Regulations Concerning Construction„.
