The development of the strategic master plan for Berezniki – Solikamsk – Usolye triad is going on. Input data have been collected, GIS and key plan have been created and a prospective agglomeration evolution scenario has been proposed. The work results were presented to Gennady Tushnolobov, Chairman of Perm Region Government, at a meeting held on 1 February 2013 at Uralkali headquarters.
The representatives from administrations of Berezniki, Usolye, Solikamsk and Solikamsk District and the Perm Region Governor took part in the meeting. Besides, the representatives of Galurgia Design Institute, the Mining Institute, Berezniki and Solikamsk companies’ directors and the master plan designers KK-Architects & Buro Happold and „SIGNY GROUP“ participated in the discussion.
The designers presented a basic plan of the territory development management and the results of Stage I of the Strategic master plan for Berezniki, Solikamsk and Usolye.
Data collection and analysis have highlighted some essential questions upon the decision of which the designers will submit two options of the master plan. The options will be made available for a wide public discussion. The approved version will be finalised by the designers and submitted at the end of 2013 as the final master plan of Berezniki – Solikamsk agglomeration.
Commenting on the visit results, Gennady Tushnolobov emphasised that all authorities were given a task to compile a document allowing in future to solve Upper Kama region problems globally.
